Call for Submissions
The Conference Committee invites conceptual and empirical papers on one or more of the following topics. The topics relate to promoting diversity and inclusivity in classrooms where English is taught as a foreign, second, additional or international language, and include, but are not limited to:
- teaching students from marginalised groups
- teaching students with special educational needs
- learner experiences and voices
- teacher experiences and reflections
- current educational policies
- curriculum, pedagogy and assessment
- assistive technologies, accessible resources and diverse instructional materials
- critical pedagogy
- parental/family engagement with schools
- identity, gender and equality
- student mental health and well-being
- teacher beliefs, attitudes and practices
- teacher education and continuing professional development
PAPER PROPOSALS
These are 25-minute formal lecture presentations that include 5 minutes of questions and answers time. These presentations may report empirical findings, offer syntheses of theories or approaches, present case studies or share best practices.
Abstracts will be reviewed against the following criteria:

Abstracts will be reviewed against the following criteria:
- topic relevance, currency and significance
- originality
- conciseness, coherence, clarity and focus of presentation
- theoretical orientation
- methodology (research projects only)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING ABSTRACTS
Please click the "Submit an Abstract" button to send your paper to our submission system. The deadline for abstract submission is 10 March 2021.
Authors should create a new account in the submission system and complete the registration form (including username, password, affiliation, email bio statement). Authors must tick the checkbox option: "Create Account as Author" (see screenshot) before they click "Create".
After the successful account creation and log-in, authors can click "New Submission" and then follow the submission workflow in the system.
Abstract length must be between 200 and 250 words. Please note that the language of the conference will be English, and therefore the Committee will only accept submissions in this language. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Organizing and Programme Committee.
